Roles and Responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities

  • o Implement global quality policies, best practices, quality vision and strategy to ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies.
  • o Develop quality-process links with customers in line with the Quality Management System (including: IATF16949, ISO 19001, ISO14001& ISO 45001).
  • o Ensure PPAP, APQP, Controls Plans, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) processes and oversee continued compliance and embedding them across the business processes.
  • o Contribute to new business initiatives and projects. Review and continuously improve the Quality Systems. Implement Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance.
  • o Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures.
  • o Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all requirements of customer audits.
  • o Update quality documentation and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns and act as a point of contact for providing solutions
  • o In conjunction with the Supplier Quality Assurance function, reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials on the production area quality
  • o Lead regular inspection meetings with department Managers and HODs to establish an action plan for improving build quality
  • o Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
  • o Conduct risk assessments and root cause analysis of processes and tasks and how to resolve the problem
  • o Report against agreed quality metrics on a monthly basis
  • o Actively lead the reduction of customer PPMs (Parts Per Million), Warranty, Cost of Quality and in-house scrap and waste
  • o Assist in continuous improvement and ensure that customers’ requirements are met and problems are prevented or resolved effectively and economically
  • o Work to prevent non-conformities, customer complaints, rework alongside Manufacturing/ Engineering and Operations to develop corrective and preventive actions within required time line.
  • o Resolving complaints from key customers within timeline and engaging with them to maintain healthy relations.
  • o Work towards winning customer awards for Quality aspects.
